YMCA Gisborne Breakfast Club is an approved CYFS programme.

Breakfast Club is a non profit making community service under the umbrella of YMCA Gisborne.  The centre caters for children aged 5-14 years of age.

Hours of Operation/Nga Haora

The centre is open Monday to Friday, 7.30am till 9.00am excluding Statutory Holidays and between Christmas and New Years.
The programme is situated at our Y Kids site on Roebuck Road.

Curriculum/Marautanga

Children experience an environment where they “Grow up as competent and confident learners and communicators, healthy in mind, body and spirit, secure in their sense of belonging and in the knowledge that they make a valued contribution to society.” Activities and experiences at Breakfast Club are child orientated and adult supported. They are based upon children’s strengths and Interests.

Management/Kaiwhakahaere

Breakfast Club is governed by YMCA Gisborne Board of Directors and is managed by experienced personnel.

Staffing/Nga Kaimahi

Breakfast Club boasts a fantastic team of experienced Staff. Our Staff to child ratios are in accordance with the Ministry of Social Development ratios and in most cases they exceed the minimum requirements

Fees/Nga Utu

Daily Rates:
Member Rate            $5.00
Casual Rate              $6.00

Fees are charged for times and days enrolled. Attendance over and above the enrolled times shall be an extra cost.
WINZ Subsidies can be accessed to those eligible to subsidise fees.

Absenteeism

Notified Absence               = 50% of fee
Un-notified Absence          = Full Fee
WINZ Subsidised Absence = Full Fee
Payment Options include cash, cheque, eftpos, credit card, automatic payment and internet banking.

Meals/Nga Kai

Breakfast Club provides Breakfast meals for children. Meals are designed to meet the nutritional intake for children and we ensure that healthy options are utilised. Dietary concerns and special meals can be made to cater for your child/s, family/whanau needs and values.

Children are then delivered daily to their respective school offices.
