Holiday Programme Volunteers
Our Youth & Outdoors staff is looking for volunteers to help with school holiday programmes. We provide the training, excitement and fun. You need to be responsible, reliable and caring. It's a great chance to gain work experience working with kids and also to meet other volunteers.
If you are interested in seeing if volunteering at the YMCA is right for you, and you have the skills that are required for the programme then please phone Alexia (Holiday Programme) or Matt Smith (Youth 4 Youth) at 867 9259. Working as a volunteer can be rewarding and gives you the opportunity to gain some skills for future employment, or if you are retired and wish to meet friends in a warm, caring environment then look at joining the YMCA as a volunteer.

Youth 4 Youth is an exciting new youth programme for youth, run by youth. Friday Club is a Social group for youth run on a Friday night from 6- 8.30pm. Call Matt Smith if you are interested on 8679259

Leadership training/Volunteering
Are you interested in new experiences and challenges? Or maybe a career in teaching, childcare or recreation? Do you have a love of children and enjoy being in a leadership role?
The YMCA is looking for young people 16+ to become Day Programme Leaders on our school holiday programmes. As a YMCA youth leader you will work alongside other youth leaders and be responsible for a small group of children, having fun and keeping them safe.
You'll have the chance to:
Make new friends and become part of an awesome team
Develop you leadership skills with free leadership training
Increase your self confidence
Take part in regular social and adventure based activities
Try new and exciting challenges
Get all expenses paid trips to choice destinations
Get a YMCA reference for your CV
Have lots of fun!
