Curriculum
Y Kids programs and experiences are guided by Te Whariki – The New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum.
At Y Kids we will work collaboratively with whanau/families to provide a curriculum where tamariki/children will be confident and competent learners while having respect for themselves and others.
We will provide a nurturing caring environment supporting tamariki/children to have a sense of identity, building resilience, strength, and pride in who they are.
We aspire to be strong Te Tiriti o Waitangi partners, valuing the principles in our everyday practice, working toward a fair and equitable Aotearoa.
Through Whanaungatanga / relationships all whānau/families will feel a sense of belonging where there are reciprocal relationships between kaiako, tamariki and whānau.
“He taonga te mokopuna, kia whāinga, kia tipu, kia rea”
“A child is a treasure, to be nurtured, to grow, to flourish”
Y Kids provides all meals for children, which includes morning and afternoon tea, as well as a cooked lunch and fruit. All meals are designed to meet the daily nutritional intake for children and ensure that healthy options are utilised.
Dietary concerns and special meals can be made to cater for your childs, family/whanau needs and values.
